Our Mission

Established in 2019, Teen Resource 5 Incorporated was developed to fill a void for under-served teenagers of Muscogee County, Georgia. The goal in mind is to “eliminate barriers for teens to reach their personal goals towards independence”. TR5 believes that with focused resources local teenagers have better chances to avoid poverty and crime.

TR5 focuses on 5 areas of interest for teens; Family Connections, Physical and Mental Health, Education, Vocation and Employment Skills, and Artistic Expression. These focus areas were chosen from results of a study conducted during meetings with teenaged focus groups in 2019, identifying areas for needs for local youth and families. We strive to update this every 5 years to ensure our program caters to our communities youth.

The overall nonprofit works through various forms of mentorship guidance. Working to connect teens towards local resources and other service groups focusing on those 5 areas of interest and filling the void as needed. Teenagers starting at age 11 to 19 are eligible for mentorship.

” With some positive community exposure and leads to what a teen really needs, success as a young adult with basic life skills is right around the corner.”
